We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Lighting and VFX Artist to join our growing Marketing Creative Services team in Bangalore on a hybrid basis!

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work primarily on Monopoly Go, a leading mobile game, where your expertise in lighting, compositing, and Visual Effects (VFX) integration will be integral. If you are a talented 3D Lighting Artist with excellent knowledge of color, lighting, composition, cinematography and image analysis, eager to learn new techniques and tools. Ideal Candidate:

  • Expertise: Proficient in 3D Lighting with a deep understanding of color, lighting, composition, cinematography, and image analysis.
  • Versatility: Capable of creating diverse lighting styles for stylized, cartoon, and realistic characters, vehicles, and special effects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Unreal Engine is highly appreciated.
  • Industry Experience: Prior work in the film industry or AAA console games is highly valued.
  • Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for gaming, fantasy, and entertainment brands.
  • Team Player: Excellent collaboration skills, capable of working effectively within a multi-disciplinary creative team.
  • Problem-solving: Strong ability to address challenges creatively and efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lighting & Cinematics: Deliver exceptional quality in lighting environments, characters and cinematics.
  • VFX Development: Collaborate on VFX that enhances lighting, atmosphere, and storytelling.
  • Workflow Optimization: Work alongside the VFX Lead, on optimization strategies for workflows and pipelines.
  • Technical VFX: Develop visual solutions for specific VFX in an evolving pipeline.
  • Artistic Adaptability: Ability to adapt styles to follow Art Direction successfully.
  • Rendering: Create high-end renders for marketing assets, animations and flytroughs. 
  • Technical Organization: Manage Maya files for optimal exporting and integration with Unity/Unreal.
  • Real-Time & Cinematic Lighting: Produce top-notch lighting scenes using Unreal Engine.

What You Will Need:

  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Extensive understanding of Lighting and Rendering techniques.
  • Knowledge and understanding of render pipelines.
  • Setup of Materials and texturing.
  • Understanding of 3D modelling and texturing for VFX.
  • Ability to research and develop lighting techniques, address specific tool needs, and deal with bugs or technical challenges.
  • Ability to structure the workflow so that conceptual changes can be made efficiently.
  • Software Proficiency:
  • Demonstrated experience in using both Unreal Engine and Arnold for Maya in high-level rendering projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of Maya.
  • Familiarity with renderers such as Octane (or similar).
  • Additional knowledge of Cinema 4D is a plus.
  • Use of After Effects, Premiere Pro and the Adobe suite.
  • Creative Skills:
  • An exceptional artistic eye and understanding of color, contrast, aesthetics, lighting principles and image analysis.
  • Understanding of PBR Materials and textures creation
  • Attention to detail in all aspects of 3D software features.
  • Expertise in Color Correction and Color spaces.
  • Knowledge of photography and cinematography for digital art direction.
  • Advanced compositing skills, for blending CGI with VFX or Live Action.
  • Additional Skills:
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working with deadlines and technical challenges.
  • Proactive - takes on responsibility & ownership in pushing the quality of their craft and in self-development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, working closely with other departments and colleagues.
  • Extensive Professional Portfolio showcasing your best 3D work.
  • Proficiency in English.
