What is the job about?

As a sales engineer, you will be responsible for developing new sales opportunities as well as maintaining recurring business with existing customers. consultants, and other technical personnel with our clients as trusted business partners. Furthermore, you will:

  • Develop and grow sales within South-West Finland;
  • Actively listen and engage with customers and identify how the complete and optimal Grundfos value proposition supports their business needs;
  • Proactively identify new sales leads and drive the service sales process for specific customers, markets, solution area, or industry and achieve agreed targets;
  • Have knowledge in the market on Grundfos solutions – explaining the benefit for the different customer groups within the customer organization;
  • Identify different stakeholders and utilize the right approach to promote sales;
  • Ensure a positive customer experience where we demonstrate and deliver on application optimization, with respect for water and energy savings;
  • Represent Grundfos at customer-facing events including tradeshows, exhibits, seminars, short courses, customer visits, etc.;
  • Monitor and report on pipeline, order intake, sales, profitability and drive debt collections within own area;
  • Ensure knowledge sharing with the team and take responsibility for own competence development;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure we are perceived as highly customer-centric and collaborative ensuring one Company Culture;
  • Proactively provide customer end-user feedback to our development team working on new solutions.

What do you need to apply?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering combined with at least 3 years of relevant sales experience from a large international company;
  • Experience in working with direct end-users, OEM manufacturers, contractors, industrial engineers, system builders and maintenance partners;
  • Experience in water treatment, dosing, and process pumps will be considered an asset;
  • Digital skills and understanding of CRM and ERP systems, and MS Office suite;
  • Fluency in both, Finnish and English;
  • Valid Driver's License and the ability to travel within the country.
