The Alumni & Stakeholder Engagement team has an exciting opening for a Digital Marketing Automation Specialist. This is a full-time, permanent position. 

The Digital Marketing Automation Specialist (DMAS) works collaboratively across Advancement and the University to broad-based-communication goals are met. The Digital Marketing Automation Specialist partners with content experts, communication leadership and technical experts to generate best-in-class digital engagement. They plan, create and coordinate the delivery and tracking of communications assets for a range of digital engagement platforms. These assets are deployed and implemented using customizable software programs for delivery, content management, analytics and constituent relation management (CRM) tools.

This position advances the organization’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) by promoting anti-racist action and understanding. This position actively participates in programs, committees and DEIB professional development opportunities and is responsible for developing and supporting inclusive, equity-focused partnerships, communications and tools in support of the institution’s public mission.

What You Will Do:

Marketing Automation Program Management (65%)

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on marketing automation to guide and execute the delivery of online and electronic communications assets directed towards a variety of internal and external audiences.
  • Oversee daily delivery operations for alumni and stakeholder e-communications within a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Leverage the University’s constituent data to develop highly personalized and variable content for e-communications and websites.
  • Support the ASE Marketing and Communications project managers in meeting deadlines, campaign planning and strategy development.
  • Help develop marketing automation best practices, including complex engagement streams, nurture campaigns and triggered communications.

Digital Engagement Analysis and Interpretation 30% 

  • Help decision makers develop research questions and a framework for analysis; work with technical groups to deliver reports, dashboards and narratives that answer those questions.
  • Work with an Engagement Data Specialist to support event registration systems.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create and improve digital engagement services and experiences.

Other assignments 5%

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience.

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

What You Bring:

  • Experience in digital communications and marketing in an advocacy or mission-oriented setting.
  • Experience with prevailing marketing automation software (e.g., Marketo).
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., MS Dynamics, Salesforce).
  • Proficiency with cross-platform analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Sprinklr, Segment).
  • Familiarity with data storage solutions, data handling and manipulation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite for correspondence, special reports, spreadsheets, databases and forms.
