Position Summary

The Mid-Level Structured Credit Trader is responsible for trading, monitoring portfolio pricing, maintaining cashflow projections, generating and aggregating investment documentation, and assisting in audit and client service requests across ABS, CLO, CMBS, Agency and Non-Agency RMBS.

Essential Job Functions

  • Monitor market liquidity, trading developments, and dealer axes for communication to desk management, PMs, and client service professionals.
  • Maintain awareness of current and emerging internal credit views, credit approval status, analytical modeling considerations, and up-to-date deal information to support accurate trading practices.
  • Interact with portfolio managers to provide pricing, liquidity, and trade timing feedback for trades under evaluation.
  • Ensure best execution for all desk trading activity. Execute trades in primary and secondary markets. Ensure accurate trade entry and analytics reporting on trade tickets
  • Maintain a high level of professional conduct and adherence to firm and desk policies.
  • Provide updated cashflows and security information as needed to relevant GPIM groups
  • Develop and present trade ideas and generate and present written and verbal market commentary for internal and external use.
  • Provide senior management, portfolio managers, and risk with ongoing information about market sentiment, liquidity, volatility, and other market information about the sector.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong credit, finance, economic, business and technical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task across analytical, administrative, and research activities in a detail oriented and timely manner
  • Strong commitment to performance and accuracy of work product
  • Team oriented individual with ability to work well with diverse groups
  • Familiarity with the Blackrock Solutions Aladdin system is a plus

Basic Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • In-office at least 4 days of the week
  • Undergraduate Degree required with concentrations in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field. MBA and or CFA is a plus
  • Experience in research, analysis, structuring and modeling of structured credit securities

Salary Details

The annual base salary for this role is between $160,000 - $175,000. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
