BNP Paribas IT Group Production is in charge to provide infrastructure, development and production support services to all IT applications used worldwide by all business lines. It encompasses a great variety of technologies and infrastructures. It is spanning from legacy systems to cutting edge Cloud technologies.

Furthermore, BNP Paribas IT Group Production, is being organized in several divisions. One of which is “Open Digital Market”, and it is responsible to provide to all IT groupwide and centrally managed digital platforms. The managed platforms are as today: the API Management, Robotics, Tests and DevSecOps platforms.

This division is leveraging developer centric tools and frameworks, as to provide standardized IT services to business lines, developers and production engineers of the Group. Position Purpose

The ISPL mutualized OPS team is being built to take IT production activities to the next level. By leveraging BNP Paribas Paris teams’ expertise and ISPL IT skills, the goal is to enable applications flawless production.

The Open Digital Market division is meant to provide a set of added value technical services to developers, production engineers and business lines, contributing to major IT challenges including infrastructure obsolescence management and infrastructure security updates, thus building a secure and stable production environment.

The IT Ops/Production Engineer for Open Digital Market division will be primarily responsible for technical upgrades, actions on applications infrastructure and some security-related actions, including security and obsolescence patching, server decommissioning, access requests management, etc.

It will be secondarily responsible for operating the platform(s) on which it is being designated on its defined timeslots, as to allow a follow-the-sun service level when combined with Paris Team.

The position is primarily oriented towards technical actions; however, some coordination activities are also in the scope of the mutualised team to provide an end-to-end service.

To meet these challenges, the Open Digital Market division will be using BNP Paribas procedures and processes defined by Paris teams or jointly defined with ISPL teams.

A strong relationship is also to be built between the Open Digital Market division and its customers using its platforms.

The team’s scope will be expanded in the future beyond the first set of described activities depending on platforms needs and the overall BNP Paribas IT organisation.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • Execute requested actions based on defined procedures and processes:

o Linux, Windows, Kubernetes Administration

o Deploy OS & middleware security patches

o Deploy OS & middleware technical patches

o Deploy a product on a private cloud (IaaS and PaaS)

o Decommission non used servers and middleware

o Dynatrace Rollout/Migration/Dashboard

o Cloud Basics knowledge

o Grant accesses based on roles and with prior validation

o Execute other technical actions

  • Coordinate above actions with other teams, especially Paris OPS & BP2I teams.
  • Initially work will be done on Non-Prod environment followed by Prod access and activities

Contributing Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the knowledge transfer with Paris OPS teams
  • Contribute to the definition of procedures and processes necessary for the team
  • Help build team spirit and integrate into BNP Paribas culture
  • Contribute to the regular activity reporting and KPI calculation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement actions, especially by proposing automation, scripting, self-healing approaches
  • Contribute to the acquisition by ISPL team of new skills & knowledge to expand its scope

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • Operational knowledge of Autosys
