Media.Monks is looking for a Jakarta-based savvy social media manager to manage the social accounts of a large international company with a strong presence in Indonesia. You’ll be part of our 1000+ strong global social team, with an emphasis on the Indonesian market - collaborating with APAC staff to deliver best in class social experiences to audiences of well known and loved brands.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Channel Management: Oversee all of the brand's social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube), focusing on fostering conversations with consumers to enhance brand consideration. You'll be at the forefront of acquiring and sharing detailed consumer insights with the team to inform broader marketing strategies.
  • Content Creation: Be part of the creation, posting, writing, and editing of original social media content. Your remit will include planning posts for newsworthy announcements, social trends, national holidays, and more, ensuring content is both engaging and reflective of the brand's voice.
  • Collaboration & Strategy: Work closely with social strategists to unearth content opportunities that align with brand goals. You'll act as the primary liaison with the client's communications team, exploring new content angles, niches, and discussions that resonate with the target audience.
  • Brand Representation: Accurately capture and convey the client's brand tone and values across all social media efforts. You are responsible for representing the brand authentically and dynamically, ensuring all content aligns with the client's vision and messaging.
  • Creative Support: Provide support in creative ideation and content strategy, including writing scripts for social-specific content like trendjacking initiatives and behind-the-scenes videos. Your role involves collaborating with creatives to deliver content that stands out and speaks directly to social media audiences.

Requirements:

  • Experience & Skill: You have around 5+ years of proven experience in social media, PR, or communication. Exceptional candidates with less experience must present a compelling case for consideration. Mastery of social media platforms and their distinct communication styles is essential.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with leading social content management systems (e.g., Sprinklr, Hootsuite) is required. You should be adept at crafting engaging, audience-winning captions in Bahasa, and understanding the impact of hashtags, emojis on messaging.
  • Strategic Thinking: A multitasking master who does not lose sight of the bigger picture while loving the small details. You're a planning expert, ensuring timely message delivery and proactively gathering necessary information, regardless of time zones or geographic distances.
  • Organization & Structure: Demonstrated ability in keeping social media efforts well-organized and structured, aiming for coherent and compelling social media presence.
  • Communication: Strong confidence and communication skills are a must for effective liaison with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Teamwork & Independence: Capable of working effectively both as part of a team and independently, maintaining high standards of work and team cohesion.
  • Initiative: Eagerness to innovate and achieve excellence, spearheading world-class work through constant initiative.
  • Native Bahasa Indonesia speaker and strong in English. Any additional APAC languages are a big plus.
