What will you be doing?

As a Network Architect with Cloud focus, you will join a team that is responsible to ensure that Novo Nordisk employees, devices and IT systems can connect to each other via the network and to the internet. The network service strategy is defined in accordance with the Novo Nordisk business strategy. The team is responsible for the design and implementation of such strategies, as well as managing the network, vendor contracts and service level agreements. We also provide guidance to regional/affiliate stakeholders related to their connectivity requirements.

You will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Design and implement advanced cloud network solutions to support Novo Nordisk’s strategy and requirements
  • Develop and maintain architecture for secure access and network performance in cloud environments
  • Utilize your expertise in network architecture, with a specific focus on cloud connectivity and integration
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within IT security, application development, and operations to ensure integrated and secure cloud solutions.
  • Streamline network operations and security implementations through automation and scripting

Which competencies to bring?

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • A solid foundation and understanding of general cloud network architectures, including in-depth knowledge of Azure and/or AWS network solutions is essential
  • Familiarity with best standards, preferably backed with professional certifications, such as Aviatrix Certified Engineer (ACE), CCNP/CCIE (Cisco), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Certifications, or other relevant cloud network and security certifications
  • Experience with Aviatrix cloud network solutions is a big advantage

In addition, you preferably have some of the following:

  • Knowledge of Cisco SD-WAN technologies, as they support our need for advanced network optimization and security across our globally distributed infrastructure
  • Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, contributing to our continuous commitment to network security and protecting our critical infrastructures
  • Familiarity with Zscaler for secure internet access and data privacy, supporting our goal to ensure a secure and efficient cloud-based workplace

As a person you have strong analytical skills and experience designing networking solutions that balance security, performance, and cost. You are can also be characterized by excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide and mentor less experienced colleagues.

The Cloud and Corporate Infrastructure team is part of our Global IT Operations department, which is responsible for managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure at Novo Nordisk. With a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere, our team plays a crucial role in enabling Novo Nordisk’s digital transformation. We have the global responsibility for all Novo Nordisk network and related services. This includes WAN, LAN, Wireless and other network technologies which connect end-users with each other and their data either in the cloud or on-premises.
