The Role: Software Engineer

This role is part of the “Keys and Credentials” team that creates innovative security solutions to protect the critical infrastructure and devices of our customers. You will be exposed to cryptography, PKI, and secure protocols and will learn how to securely communicate with embedded devices and even about the modern Digital Rights Management technologies in the media industry as well as about deployments in the cloud. 

As our new Software Engineer in Test colleague, you will be working with various technologies like Python, Docker, AWS, Git, SQL and different cryptography algorithms. 

What you will be working on: 

  • Foster a professional engineering culture and help to grow our quality standards, by keeping your industry knowledge on software quality up-to-date and spread that in the organization. 
  • Participate in the validation of complex SaaS systems for device and certification management. 
  • Apply the existing QA strategy on your and your peers’ daily activities and suggest improvements to it. 
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites, for each test level. 
  • Drive the load and performance testing. 
  • Integrate the test suite execution into the CI/CD pipelines, together with the DevOps engineers. 
  • Ensure test reporting and test data management. 
  • Challenge old habits, and bring new ideas. 

Skills and experience we expect: 

  • A BSc/MSc Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a similar field 
  • Professional experience in test automation and test management, for large-scale, high traffic, highly reliable background systems 
  • Significant hands-on experience with Pytest, Cypress, and other testing frameworks. 
  • Good mix of hands-on testing experience and a drive towards automation 
  • Software security mindset. 
  • Understanding of cryptography is highly desirable. 
  • Versioning systems and CI/CD (Git) 
  • Understanding of Scrum principles and experience with teams working under Scrum 
  • Team player mentality, being pro-active, quality-minded and showing a positive attitude. 
  • Proficient verbal and written English communication skills. 

Nice to have: 

  • Experience in assessing software quality processes (test suite management, reporting, test automation, test execution, etc.) and how to translate that into an improvement plan. 
  • Experience or affinity with cloud technologies 
  • Knowledge and working experience with Relational Databases. 
  • Experience in software security, public key infrastructure (PKI), encryption and key management
