About the Team:

This role sits within a team that has rapidly expanded over the last five years, as ICIS continues to develop the sustainability pillar of the business. The team is enthusiastic about plastics circularity, demonstrating great curiosity and innovation in their research and analysis on this sector. The team are dedicated to delivering high quality analysis and are very friendly and supportive. As well as working alongside peers across the globe (Asia and Europe), the role will see strong collaboration with the company’s global team of industry experts across multiple business functions including analytics, data science and consulting; always willing to share experience and knowledge.

About the Role:

As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and trends. Your role is to identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations to key stakeholders. Utilizing your advanced technical skills, you will develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to support business decisions. Your attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively will be key to delivering accurate and actionable insights.

You will be responsible for:

  • Collating, modeling, interpreting and analyzing data; explaining variances and trends in the plastics recycling sector.
  • Developing deep understanding of recycling market drivers and contributing to the production of written analysis explaining and predicting market developments.
  • Conducting fundamental data research relevant to the plastics recycling value chain.
  • Identifying enhancements to data generation, analysis and modelling.
  • Engaging with the industry and clients through event/conference attendance, client engagement and other marketing activities.
  • Presenting of the team’s analysis and representation of ICIS at external related events.
  • Broadening and adding further detail to our coverage of our plastic recycling data sets.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Have expertise in a sustainability related industry. Chemistry/Chemical Engineering industry experience would be advantageous.
  • Have proven quantitative and qualitative research skills either in education or employment.
  • Have attention to detail and high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Have working knowledge of SQL and Python and experience applying these to solving analytical problems would be advantageous.
  • Have excellent communication skills and an aptitude for building contacts and networks.
  • Have experience with forecast modeling software and methodologies would be advantageous.
  • Have knowledge of the polyester industry preferred.
