SIMEA Sibiu carries out production activities of electronic equipment and systems, of low to medium complexity and with an increased manual processing part. The company is involved in the generation of innovative solutions in the field of design and manufacturing of electronic products, support services within its strong competencies: product development (PLM), logistics and production.

We are looking for a Test Equipment Engineer that will help us manage and optimize the processes for our production site using the latest market technology and in closely collaboration with PLM departments and test engineering teams from Germany and Austria.

Test Equipment Engineer

We make real what matters. This is your role:

  • Collaboration with local or international Research & Development departments in order to diagnose and solve possible development or production problems of electronic boards;
  • Development of test hard-/software, construction & platform elements aligned with R&D and global test engineering partners;
  • Optimization of the equipment used in the testing process (Test Towers, semi-finished or final assembled products, Flashing/Parameterization of integrated circuit modules) when the provisions for modification of the HW/ SW products require it;
  • Maintaining the testing equipment at the level of today's technology challenges (HW/SW updates, including Cybersecurity);
  • Setup/commissioning of the testing equipment received in the transfer projects within the various Siemens divisions;
  • Writing test specification and documentation;
  • Analysis of the parameters for the test process in order to meet the quality objectives (false errors generated by the test equipment);
  • Elaborating themes and conducting trainings for technicians responsible for Level 1 Testing Service.

What do you need to qualify for this job:

  • Bachelor degree in the field of electronics/Electromechanics/Automation-Computers;
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position;
  • Programming knowledge in .NET, C#. National Instruments Test Stand & LabVIEW, at least with the following certifications: CLAD (Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer), CLD (Certified LabVIEW Developer);
  • Competences in semi-automation (knowledge of how test adapters, measuring and control devices work as an electro/mechanical assembly, controlled by PLC/Computer);
  • Creating applications for Embedded systems using measuring device control libraries, DIO devices, SW control of measuring devices;
  • Experience in using CAN, HART, MODBUS, PROFI-NET, KNX communication protocols represents an advantage;
  • English language - intermediate level;
  • German language - represents an advantage.
