The Enterprise Digital Experiences Team (EDX) is responsible for the product management and design of American Express’ proprietary digital products – Amex Mobile App, americanexpress.com, Amex Offers, Customer Personalization and Amex communication channels (email, SMS & push notifications).

We're looking for an experienced and dynamic digital Senior Product Manager to join the Mobile Messaging team, focusing on the execution and strategy for integrating various servicing , enrollment and marketing journeys across our Messaging components onto the Mobile App that helps shape the future of these core user experiences to be best in class. With an outcome-first approach, this Senior Product Manager helps drive our core strategic goals to increase customer satisfaction, engagement, digital adoption, and revenue contribution across various Messaging journeys, including Push Notifications as a channel. This Senior Product Manager partners closely with a team of product managers, engineers, designers, analytics and effectively engages multiple stakeholders across the organization.

Key responsibilities of this Senior Product Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Defining the product vision and roadmap of Messaging and Push Notifications by working with leadership, key stakeholders, and partners
  • Drives global development for experiences with millions of daily views, partnering closely with the Web, Mobile, and Push channel teams
  • Works closely with technology teams to develop, test and deliver features and services
  • Translates product roadmap into well-defined product requirements/user stories and acceptance test criteria
  • Communicates the vision of Messaging and personalization, its impact to marketing and other content, and the high-level business needs to leaders across the organization
  • Leads prioritization and development efforts with scrum team
  • Translates product roadmap into well-defined product requirements/user stories and acceptance test criteria
  • Embodies design-thinking in your practice, including empathy and journey mapping, and UX research
  • Leverages data and analytics (qualitative + quantitative) to drive informed decisions, experimentation and product strategy.
  • Understands and apply new trends and competitive best practices into product roadmap and requirements.
  • Supports development of appropriate tracking and reporting to determine product performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • 2/3+ years of experience in Product Management/Development, ideally coming from Mobile
  • Proven track record with consumer-facing product(s) and a core product vision
  • Experience with rapid and iterative software development methodologies
  • A solid understanding of application architecture (e.g. web, native app, PWA, etc)
  • Knowledge of reporting/analytical applications, i.e. Adobe
  • Experience with agile product development methodologies and tools (JIRA, Rally, LPM, etc.) a plus
  • Impeccable communication skills, both on and offline

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
