Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a RF Systems Engineer with RF design, analysis, and test experience. The RF Systems Engineer will generate modeling/simulations for advanced control systems, build and test prototype hardware in the lab, and collaborate with a larger team for flight hardware configurations. Specific duties may include assisting engineers with antenna modeling, RF System modeling and requirements development. The individual will work closely with systems and design engineers to identify key RF hardware requirements which meet mission needs and will construct models for simulation.

The RF Systems Engineer must be capable of utilizing a wide range of test equipment such as power supplies, DMMs, Oscilloscopes, RF Power Meters, Frequency Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, and Network Analyzers. Experience with MATLAB modeling is required.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from accredited university in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

Must be US Citizen with ability to obtain Secret Clearance

Candidate must understand smith charts, S-parameters, Dynamic Range, FRIIS transmission equation, and impedance matching

Demonstrate mastery of simulation and analysis tools. (MATLAB)

Desired Skills:

Support trade studies, presentations, proposals and related activities

Candidate must be able to calculate the system noise temperature of a cascaded network

Demonstrate a strong fundamental understanding of RF couplers and filter designs

Assist in the flow down of RF requirements to testable modular hardware and software

Understanding of antenna design, polar plots, phased arrays is of significant benefit.

Demonstrate a strong fundamental conical vs great circle cuts

Demonstrate ability to calculate polarization losses

Perform System Link Budgets for Telemetry, Flight Termination, Data Links, Range Tracking, GPS, SATCOM and etc.

Radar Analysis (Altitude, Search & Track and SAR)

Includes terrain & atmospheric absorption, function of time, environmental effects

Develop Radar and / or Communication algorithm

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret
