We are seeking a Senior Build/Release engineer to join our Engineering Productivity (Release Engineering) team. The team is currently responsible for managing and maintaining the build & release activities and supporting infrastructure that spans across multiple sites. Core responsibilities are to provide direct build and tooling support for our development organization. The team will maintain and support the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline and related processes for our SaaS product. You'll evangelize operational excellence through continuous improvement and optimization of the tools and processes.
While acting as a subject matter expert on the various enterprise class tools (JIRA, Confluence, Portfolio, etc.) the right candidate will enjoy working in a service role, where flexibility and the ability to multi-task and prioritize is required to excel. You are a Multiplier, and constantly look for ways to make other teams successful. You understand that the success and productivity of our scrum teams you interact with is critical to enabling continuous change.   • Create the next generation of tools and infrastructure for build, test, release and monitoring, focusing on developer productivity, release velocity and product quality.
  • Plan, manage, and socialize all release engineering activities
  • Continually work towards making improvements in the build/release process
  • Focus on improving Engineering productivity by improving Engineering tools (Jira, Confluence, Portfolio, etc.)
  • Coordinate deliveries from geographically distributed development teams
  • Define, collect and report metrics that measure progress and performance of the build and deployment infrastructure

  • Relevant experience with build environment, Jenkins on AWS, build automation, build infrastructure, engineering productivity tools like Atlassian tools, experience on Release Management activities/tools a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems or equivalent field required
  • 6+ years of technical experience
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD/DevOps concepts, tools and technologies (Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube, Chef, Git/Stash, Artifactory, Packer, Docker, RightScale, AWS, GCE)
  • Emotional maturity, adaptability and the ability to lead through influence across organizational and geographical boundaries
  • Proven analytical abilities and using data/facts for decision-making.
  • Strong Linux/Unix System Engineering and shell scripting experience
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban team environments
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
The ideal candidate will also have the following skills and experience:
  • Experience building highly performant, scalable, software in a CI/CD environment
  • Experience developing and deploying SaaS applications and services into production.
  • Exposure to Public Cloud computing
