About The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Delivery Experience team, you possess deep knowledge in back-end software systems and understand the tradeoffs in creating and delivering high-quality, maintainable software solutions while identifying risks in code, features, and design. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the code that drives our daily product shipments and defining the future technologies for our end-to-end operational delivery experience, covering inventory management, order processing, fulfillment, logistics, and data integration with warehouses and fulfillment centers.

You can take complex tasks, break them down, estimate them, and complete them despite roadblocks, pulling in others for assistance or insight as necessary. You will be part of a scrum team with daily standup meetings as well as bi-weekly backlog refinement, planning, review, and retrospective meetings.

The right candidates exhibit a natural problem-solving curiosity, possess strong critical thinking skills, and value working on a team and helping others reach our collective goals. You model our Core Values (Relentless Improvement, Authentic, Accountable, Humble, Customer Obsessed) for other members of the team.

  • 5+ years of back-end software development experience
  • Experience with PHP (Laravel) and Type Script programming
  • Experience with API development, testing, and integration
  • Experience with containerization and distributed systems
  • Experience with leading design and implementation of end-to-end solutions
  • Capacity for architectural thinking and proficiently documenting the decision-making process while effectively collaborating with fellow engineers
  • Experience with optimizing software performance, identifying, and resolving bottlenecks via monitoring, logging, and metrics to enhance the user experience
  • Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders to get alignment on tech priorities
  • Experience with estimating projects, breaking work in phases and prioritization
  • Desire to mentor software engineers and participate in code reviews
  • Desire to stay up to date with the latest industry standards, tools, and technologies
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience with eCommerce and 3rd party tools integrations is highly desirable
