Position Overview:

The Supply Chain Development Program (SCDP) at Kimberly-Clark is designed with one thing in mind, YOUR career in Supply Chain. During the three-year rotational program, you’ll gain challenging experience working diverse assignments in three of the four key supply chain functions of Manufacturing, Supply Planning, Customer Logistics/Distribution and Procurement. Additionally, you will learn our processes and procedures while also being exposed to Safety, Quality, Transportation, LEAN/Operational Excellence and SAP. Throughout the program, you will gain invaluable skills and capabilities through structured personal and professional development sessions.

The scope of each assignment is designed to build your supply chain foundational skillset. In addition, you will sharpen key leadership skills & operational knowledge needed to accelerate your career at Kimberly-Clark. The SCDP program is ideal for individuals who are passionate about pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone to develop into a supply chain professional.

The focus of the SCDP program is to challenge each participant in a variety of cross-functional development rotations through robust assignments across KC’s North America supply chain organization. At Kimberly-Clark, you’ll find a community of supply chain professionals that are aligned around developing supply chain professional and leadership pipeline. As a SCDP participant, you’ll receive mentoring & leadership connection opportunities to build your network & help you to envision potential career paths at Kimberly-Clark.

Kimberly-Clark’s SCDP program provides an exciting 36-month development program consisting of three, 12-month rotational assignments in different locations across the United States. To provide a well-rounded experience, one assignment will be located at one of our critical manufacturing operations while the other two assignments will be located at our supply chain staff location.

The assignments will provide SCDP participants with:

  • Structured & deliberate exposure to critical experiences to expediate development of key Supply Chain & Leadership competencies
  • Exposure to Safety, Quality, Manufacturing, Transportation, project management, strategic category management, materials management, supplier management/development and LEAN/OPEX tools and principles.
  • Presentations and networking opportunities with the senior supply chain leadership team.
  • Development opportunities through structured learning events.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will transition into key supply chain roles across Kimberly-Clark’s businesses as identified by current business needs.

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements):

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Supply Chain/Logistics or related field
  • Strong academic performance minimum; preferred 3.0 GPA 
  • Ability AND desire to relocate within the United States 
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and be a fast learner 
  • Desire to pursue a career in Supply Chain 
  • Relevant work experience in a previous co-op/internship required; internal or external to K-C 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships 
  • Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines 
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) 
  • Prior experiencing participating in a team environment 
  • Ability to travel up to 15% 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Desire for a career in Supply Chain/Logistics in manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills; ability to analyze and interpret data 
  • Detail oriented and strong problem solving and decision-making skills 
  • Proven leadership experience through work experience, involvement in campus activities, outreach, community service, and/or extracurricular activities 
  • Strong written and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to persuade and influence others 
  • High potential/high interest to develop as future leader within the supply chain/operations organization
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community
