Under the oversight of the assigned supervisor, the Mobile Crisis Response Coordinator I provides high-level coordination of assigned activities that will aid in achieving program and/or agency goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works with crisis supervisors and other staff of various departments whose coordination of effort is essential for joint delivery of services 
  • Collaborates with the crisis supervisor and coordinator team regarding statistical reporting assistance and managing internal and external data entry points
  • Consults with crisis supervisor and coordinator team to determine program needs and to establish agreed upon expectations and implementation plans 
  • Maintains frequent communication with crisis supervisor and coordinators to ensure consistency in the communication of the agreed upon expectations
  • Manages maintained constructive relationships between the day crisis team and the night crisis team for improving the program’s effectiveness
  • Facilitates routine reviews of client records; thus, ensuring recordkeeping procedures are implemented, consistent and appropriate
  • Maintains frequent communication with the crisis team, both day and evening shift to ensure connectivity and positive team culture
  • Participates in and co-leads staff meetings, to also include agenda development and meeting guidance
  • Coordinates and promotes community linkage and relationship development
  • Completes day and evening shift scheduling and sends out to supervisors and team by 15th of each for following months.
  • Completes initial review of packets submitted daily and moves to the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) for signature within 24 hours of submission of packet 
  • Coordinates and implements program specific trainings, as needed and as agreed upon by the crisis supervisor and coordinator team
  • May include transporting clients (youth or adult) to immediate crisis determined resources (i.e. shelter, treatment, etc).
  • Assists in ensuring 24-hour crisis coverage is maintained; including filling coverage gaps when necessary 
  • Provides clinical and programmatic support to staff during shift and coordinates/consults with supervisor, as needed
  • Occasional travel may be required due to location of programming in several counties in Southern Illinois and Lake County in Northern Illinois
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred

Experience

  • 1-2 years related experience required

Other

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record with OHU required levels of coverage for auto insurance

Required Skills

1. Proficient computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment and adaptive skills to expand software application skills as necessary

2. Excellent organizational skills, including setting priorities 

3. Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information in a clear, concise manner

4. Team-oriented and can work well between multiple departments/staff

5. Ability to exercise discretion and ensure confidentiality
