Weber Shandwick’s Healthcare Practice on the west coast is continuing to expand. We are currently seeking an Account Director to join our growing team of conversation-starters, strategists, storytellers, PhD-level scientists, writers, designers and builders; this position can be based in either our San Francisco office or in our Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate is a resourceful integrated communications professional who possesses a strong interest in science and how medicines work, is curious and excited to experiment and explore new ideas, and has an entrepreneurial spirit. This role will be responsible for leading a large-scale client relationship and working closely with large teams internally and externally. Biotech and pharmaceutical drug development experience is required, oncology and FDA approval experience is strongly preferred.
An Account Director plays a critical role in determining the future and long-term success of Weber Shandwick. They’re responsible for managing senior level client relationships and have regular exposure to client senior management. Account Directors are also accountable for collaborating between practice areas within the Weber Shandwick organization and supporting new business development efforts.
