Job Description

What a Product Manager, Digital Partnerships does at Visa:

Based in Mumbai, this role involves working on strategic initiatives for the organization. As a result, the candidate would require a strong understanding of Visa’s products and solutions such as EVMCo Contactless ecosystem, Tap to X use-cases, Network Tokenization in addition to product management with a strong ability to lead the overall initiative.

Product Manager, Digital Partnerships will work with key Fintechs in the portfolio for the INSA (India and South Asia) region, owning all aspects of the relationship, from the solutioning, commercial to the operational.

Key responsibilities include

  • Project management skills that can be applied across a range of projects, helping to maintain organization, tactical focus, effective, on-time execution. This will be inclusive of both technology / development initiatives as well as broader go-to-market planning.
  • Act like a product commercialization manager for strategic initiatives with a strong bias for action
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to engage all levels of management and a range of teams – product, platform, technology, marketing, etc.
  • Ability to craft a solution blueprint to real-world problems with good understanding of technology underpinning modern payment technology, cloud-based platforms, Apps, APIs, and SDKs
  • Help uncover new payment and industry trends that support Visa’s thought leadership and product development activities.
  • Manage relationship with Fintechs including day to day engagements in the INSA region.
  • Resolve and support client’s issues, challenges, and escalations across clients.
  • Be a client advocate, challenge status quo when needed, engage & influence internal teams.
  • Operates with minimal supervision and able to make informed, well-reasoned decisions independently applying strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • Curiosity with respect to fintech and payment businesses in consumer space
  • Willingness to learn with strong drive to succeed.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and can-do attitude
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity, program manage client activities.
  • Instinct to numbers and able to use data driven approach to make decisions and convince stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate technical opportunities and issues into business impacts and vice versa.
  • Ability to work and adapt in a dynamic environment and recognize priority issues, escalating quickly where relevant.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and drive integrations to completion.
  • Ideally, 5-7 years of experience preferably in fintech, financial services, or consulting

What will also help:

  • Proven knowledge of the Payments industry, experience at payments fintech, global payments network, leading consumer bank, or related payment companies
  • Experience in product and solutions management. Track record of launching payment products
  • Ability to identify new fintech growth segments, opportunity sizing and build a pipeline of clients.
  • FinTech ecosystem engagement experience across founders, investors, ecosystem platforms, the media, etc.
