We are a global team of creators, storytellers, technologists, experience originators, innovators and so much more. We believe amazing games and experiences start with teams as diverse as the players and communities we serve. At Electronic Arts, the only limit is your imagination.

We are DICE, the award-winning studio with locations in Stockholm and Gothenburg, Sweden, best known for creating the phenomenally successful Battlefield franchise.

We are now part of a set of global studios building a connected Battlefield universe, developing Battlefield's one-of-a-kind multiplayer suite, while also building a team to support our new Seattle-based studio, Ridgeline Games, who are leading the development of a single-player narrative campaign.

We believe our people are the backbone and driving force to our creative products, and are always looking for diverse game creators to join us in Stockholm, Gothenburg or working remotely, to help us build the best Battlefield experiences and make our studio the best in the industry.

We are looking for a creative and passionate individual to craft the best possible experience for our players through the game's user interface. You will be working proactively and collaboratively with our experienced team to develop visual designs for in-game UI features such as HUD, map screen, deployment screen, vehicle and weapon UI.

You will be a part of the next chapter in one of the world's best known game franchises and to work within a world class team. You will report to the UI Art Director and Producer.

  • Work with the team to understand the player needs, motivations, behaviors and pain points to identify opportunities to improve the experience through the User Interface.
  • Craft UI solutions to balance the interplay between player/user goals, our goals, and technical feasibility using holistic design strategies and a user-centered approach.
  • Work with UX designers, UI scripters and UI engineers to deliver UI features for our Core Combat team as part of the multiplayer experience.
  • Create animations/motion designs for transitions and feedback to support the player experience.
  • Mentor more junior team members.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a UI Artist or UI Designer for console or PC games.
  • Excellent graphic design skills including typography, layout, composition, iconography and colour.
  • High level of competence in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.
  • Experience developing and applying style-guides/design systems.
  • Proficient in creating animations/motion graphics using After Effects or similar software packages.
  • Good technical understanding and appreciation for smart ways to create flexible, efficient and scalable UI.
  • Passion for UX, information design, and creating pixel-perfect solutions.
