Key Areas of Responsibility
Focus on sale Teradata data warehouse and big data solutions including hardware, database and professional services and related technology products including BI and ETL tools. Provide data warehouse and big data services, thought leadership and technical and industry expertise to Teradata clients.
• Help secure new engagements by demonstrating how Teradata EDW and big data products and services can solve the client’s business problems. Support sales motions, demonstrations, and scoping of Teradata Professional Services offers.
• Engage in presales activities e.g. preparing proposals and carry out presentations
• Team work with Pre-sales, HQ Auto team, PS team and other teams.
• in customer and team relationship building.
Skills
• In-depth and practical EDW, big data and BI experience in multiple industries, such as Auto / Telco/ Banking/ retail and so on. Specialized in Teradata / Aster / Hadoop hardware platform, database and utilities etc.
• Volkswagen experience will be an advantage, but not limited.
• Experience of other venders like Greenplum, Netezza, Exadata, DB2, Oracle, HANA will be an advantage. Familiar with other big data and Hadoop technology.
• Strong client interaction, communication, documentation, presentation skills.
• Ability to define the client’s requirements within the context of their business.
• Ability to assess the opportunities, benefits, risks, and success factors of a potential solution.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or above
• 5+ years experience for related industries presale / project implementation.
• 3+ years experience in EDW and integrated Big Data solution presales and/or implementation.
• Deep knowledge in Teradata EDW and big data solution offering including platform, database, as well as third party BI and ETL products.
