At the core of this transformation, the EDU Integration team is responsible for the delivery of the in-house manufactured Electric Drive Units assembly, ensuring it meets the technical and legal requirements to deliver an experience that our customers will love.

As the EDU Requirements Lead Engineer you will get the opportunity to be responsible for ensuring that quality drives the design by fostering a robust system “V” requirement cascade coupled with a coherent validation strategy that aligns with the Failure Mode and Effect Avoidance (DFMEA) and Design Review by Failure Mode (DRBFM) documentation.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Manage EDU requirements inbox. Leasing / handshaking with EDU external teams (e.g. power pack) the influx of EDU system requirements.
  • Manage the system requirement decomposition and cascades to the different EDU subsystems and components.
  • Maintain the EDU system deck of Engineering Standard updated and in alignment with JLR polices.
  • Support programme specific deck of standard creation ensuring correct cascade and gateway assignation.
  • Run EDU level prevent recurrence process ensuring all the commodities / parties involve adhere to process and timing.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience creating and managing DFMEA (ideally at a system or sub-system level).
  • Significant experience in requirement management, requirement decomposition and system “V” validation.
  • Experience creating validation plans.
  • Good understanding of electric drive unit integration and assembly.
  • Experience with requirements management tools (ideally working knowledge in Traceable Requirements Management (TRM) and Xray)
