This is a role well suited for a highly motivated student looking to build their skill set and gain hands-on experience. As an Operations – Lean Integration Intern, you will be responsible for:

  • Gather data from various plant functions to determine capital facility and equipment needs to enable significant scaling of production capacity.
  • Coordinate activities between Site Engineering/Facilities and Operational Areas to design production areas for biochemical products and use input from plant personnel to help develop product workflows to accommodate higher production levels 
  • Help coordinate 3P and Value Stream Mapping activities to facilitate optimized design
  • Help drive requirements management activities for equipment and facilities to be purchased/built
  • Help in integrating ideas of how to assess and optimize tank utility (storage, cleaning, etc.,) 
  • Participate in financial modeling of new production workflows

Required skills and education to have for the success of this role:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program, majoring in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Operations/Business
  • 2+ years college level classes in Engineering, Biology or Chemistry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with and coordinate activities of cross functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Power Point
