Our Team
 
The International Private Bank (IPB) Treasury and Banking team has responsibility for the Private Bank’s Treasury and Deposit businesses across EMEA, Asia and Latin America. This includes efficient use of IPB balance sheets, compliance with internal and regulatory liquidity requirements but also developing the banking product palette, deposit pricing and management of interest rate risk within the deposit, loan and mortgage books in a range of currencies to support business growth. The team is based in Geneva and is leveraging a global network across the bank and line of businesses (LOBs).
 
The Role
 
As a key member of the IPB Treasury and Banking team, your primary responsibility will be to:
  • Assist in the design of the treasury model for the EMEA and APAC legal entities where Wealth Management operates
  • Drive change implementation of new defined treasury model
  • Support the existing Treasury team for coverage

Working closely with our Business Management team, Treasury CIO, WM Technology, Finance and Operations, you will assist WM Treasury in owning a complete workstream end-to-end. You will be based in Geneva and report to the Head of Treasury and Banking for the IPB. This position will provide an opportunity to make an impact on the bottom line and provide exposure to senior management.

 

Key responsibilities
  • Translating Design strategy into operational initiatives,
  • Engaging in transformation efforts by managing or facilitating inter-LOB or Intra-LOB communication and by representing the team's vision accordingly
  • Contribute to test scripts, perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production checkouts
  • Update and document Treasury activities & procedures based on the outcomes of the work stream
  • Keep and update the assumptions on FTP, IRR and BS Sheet Forecast.
  • Maintain future IRR reports and follow the comparison with the official reported IRR numbers
  • Provide support on Wealth Management Treasury New Business Initiatives
Requirements
  • Design, structure, and “own” quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Quickly synthesize and interpret data and develop frameworks and insights to address key strategic, process, or organizational changes (current and future states)
  • Identify major issues and actionable opportunities, design solutions, and quantify potential bottom-line financial impact across workstream
  • Synthesize impactful findings, develop recommendations, and write small documents with minor guidance / editing; present recommendations to senior management
  • Advise and influence key stakeholders on key business decisions and change efforts
  • Develops strong trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders
 
Qualifications
  • 2-5 years in consulting with experience in Financial Services and with Treasury knowledge
  • Regulatory knowledge of  Basel III liquidity and capital framework would be a plus
  • Ability to provide structure to ambiguous situations and apply analytical tools to develop solutions
  • Strong client management and executive-level communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with large transformation projects is a plus
  • Fluency in English is essential and French is beneficial
