The Senior Marketing Manager directs and manages the coordination of any marketing-related activities and needs for the Firm. Responsibilities include formation of marketing strategy, with primary responsibility over the execution of that strategy, including driving the marketing process, developing a consistent brand for the company, and ensuring that the marketing plans are executed on time, on budget with high-level outcomes. This position also manages internal and external marketing relationships to maximize the Firm’s return on investment; and ensures compliance of marketing processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Proven ability to cover and deliver for major corporate divisions/segments of an enterprise-level firm
  • Consistently delivers on assigned special projects that are of strategic importance to the division and PR firm
  • Independently creates the connection to the corporate vision and can convey this through marketing briefs, including segmentation, positioning and messaging statements
  • Professional responsible for developing the strategies and plans that establish brand consistency and increase brand awareness and lead generation for Ryan’s practices.
  • Experts at identifying target customers and implementing the company's mission through strategic processes to get the most out of existing marketing plans.
  • They lead the marketing efforts for their responsible divisions within Ryan that depend on them for success; they have a knack for setting clear objectives while understanding each business' unique needs.
  • Developing and managing programs to reach customers within a geography, industry or vertical market segment, crafting strategic plans that address key opportunities, understanding what competitors may be doing well so the marketing team can create better strategies.
  • For integrations, engaging with the Integration Management Office and other cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of the marketing function of acquired companies and the elevation of Ryan’s brand.
  • Job duties include but not limited to:
  • Project intake, assessment for firm impact and project prioritization.
  • Stewardship for marketing annual calendar and key sales cycles across all practice lines.
  • Gathering customer insight and research to help define the target audience, value prop/differentiations, marketing brief, and the overall the marketing campaign strategy. 
  • Works with practice leaders to build specific and unique practice line marketing and sales collateral, presentations, and business development artifacts that meet the corporate brand standards.
  • Marketing plan stewardship and reporting to functional practice and divisional leadership
  • Overseeing the holistic programs for the practices and evaluation of program success, as agreed upon with the practice leaders, which can be used to determine future campaign models based on past successes.

  • Develops and ensures consistent key messaging and strategic positioning for all materials to help build a recognizable brand.
  • Recommends new marketing programs or procedures that prove beneficial to the organization.
  • Maintains a high level of awareness regarding activities in the Firm that may directly affect branding initiatives or procedural guidelines of the organization.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.B.A., or B.S.) from a four-year college or university, preferably with a concentration in Marketing and minimum ten years related work experience. 

Essential Skills Required:

  • Ability to execute with minimal direction.
  • Must be professional and articulate.
  • Must have above-average business acumen.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate skills in Salesforce/Pardot, SEMRush (or other platforms for digital insights), Google Analytics, Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Internet navigation and research.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver’s license required. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position requires limited supervisory responsibilities, including training employees, assigning work, and checking work for accuracy and completeness.

Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
  • Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm and interface with external vendors.
  • Independent travel requirement: less than 25%.
  • 40+ hour standard workweek requirement.

  • For Denver, CO-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is

$128,000 - $156,000.

  • For New York, NY-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is

$146,000-$178,000.

  • For Bellevue, WA- based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is

$134,000-$164,000. 

  • For Carlsbad, Glendale, Irvine, Los Angelos, Sacramento, and San Diego, CA-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $134,000-$16,000.
  • For Oakland and San Jose, CA-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $146,000-$178,000.
