Summary

The Revenue Management Director, China, will act as Hyatt’s primary revenue management liaison for hotels in China.

The person is expected to collaborate extensively with internal constituents to support new hotels’ revenue management and distribution strategies, driving and optimizing overall hotel revenue, develop new operational processes, and models in alignment with Hyatt’s business objectives.

The position will continuously assess risks that may impact the pricing strategies, economics , and/or rate integrity of each project in the pipeline, and, actively seek, support and implement ways in which to manage such exposure to Hyatt.

  • Drive rate parity through collaboration and education with regional and property level revenue and sales team
  • Ensure the distribution channel partners are operating within the standards of the partnership, and improving terms and conditions that are beneficial to all hotels
  • Work with GPGS and data service to fine-tune reservation related efficiency and accuracy
  • Support digital campaigns to promote direct channels, by enforcing rate parity and recommended selling tactics
  • Work with other regional distribution and revenue team around the globe to provide support and to ensure required actions are scaled and planned out accordingly
  • Relate, explain and understand how distribution and revenue functions support Hyatt’s overall digital and commercial strategies
  • Hotel property visits to focused hotels to support/guide in execution of distribution, wholesale, revenue, market share, and rate party strategies
  • Being a custodian of Hyatt’s Revenue Management Policy and Procedures, definitions of data and market segmentation. Owner of sorting out definitions in disagreement, and be a liaison with Corporate/Regional team if any definition needs further clarification
  • Responsible for hotels in the concerned sub regions to ensure they meet property and regional KPIs. Close relationship with hotel RMs and properties is expected

Qualifications

Experience

  • 5-7 years of property distribution or revenue management experience
  • Written and spoken proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) as well as English is a requirement for this position

Education

  • University / Colleague graduate with proficiency in Mandarin and English

Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of revenue management systems, Congo’s, and Tableau

Additional Comments and Requirements

  • Willingness and requirement to travel
  • Ability to work with inter-departments
  • Travel industry distribution and connectivity technical accoutrement will be advantageous
  • Communicate effectively throughout and top down the organization structure
