ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a Senior PR & Content Executive, you’ll be a part of a dynamic, motivated team that strives to produce industry-leading PR and content campaigns aimed at OnTheMarket’s consumer and B2B audiences. You’ll be equally comfortable liaising with internal stakeholders and journalists when drafting press materials, or responding to inbound media enquiries. Comfortable working across a number of projects at one time, you’ll be responsible for managing a busy commentary calendar, as well as project managing OnTheMarket research reports. Through expert research, analysis and reporting, your blog writing will help inform home buyers as they are making one of life’s biggest decisions, where to call ‘home’. This content will help families, individuals, estate agents, owners, investors, lenders, and others discover communities and make decisions in confidence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing PR Strategies: Formulate comprehensive public relations strategies aligned with the company's objectives and target audience. Identify opportunities to enhance brand visibility and reputation through media relations, thought leadership, and industry events.
  • Content Creation and Management: Lead the creation and curation of engaging content across multiple platforms, including website, blog, press releases and research reports. Ensure content is relevant, timely, and aligns with brand messaging and SEO objectives.
  • Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers in relevant industries. Pitch stories, press releases, and company updates to secure media coverage and positive exposure for OnTheMarket.
  • Press Release Management: Draft, edit, and distribute press releases to announce company news, product launches, partnerships, and other significant developments. Monitor press coverage and manage media inquiries effectively.
  • Thought Leadership: Position OnTheMarket as an industry leader by identifying opportunities for executive thought leadership, speaking engagements, and participation in relevant industry forums and conferences.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the performance of PR and content initiatives using relevant metrics and analytics tools. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, research, and customer support, to ensure alignment of PR and content initiatives with overall business goals and priorities.
  • Commentary on third party indices for senior stakeholders such as the Halifax HPI and RICS Residential Market Report.
  • Liaise with research team and brief on data requirement for media data stories.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in public relations, corporate communications, or content marketing, preferably within the technology, real estate, or related industries.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and storytelling ability.
  • Strong media relations skills and a demonstrated track record of securing media coverage in relevant publications.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute PR and content strategies that drive brand awareness and engagement.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and metrics to measure the impact and effectiveness of PR and content initiatives.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments and stakeholders.
  • Creativity, adaptability, and a passion for staying updated on industry trends and best practices in PR and content marketing.
