Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our ENT team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
This position will be supporting the Sexual Medicine and Male Infertility Clinic. The clinic treats men and women by providing medical, surgical, and behavioral health services for a variety of sexual conditions. Duties include working alongside medical providers, rooming and discharging patients, room set up and take down, assisting with procedures, managing patient and physician messages, refilling medications, obtaining prior authorizations, scheduling appointments and other duties as assigned.
Ideal candidates would have a desire to learn, a positive attitude, possess organization and communication skills, be assertive yet compassionate, be able to prioritize, and a dependable team player. Previous clinic experience preferred.
Position Summary:
Provides practical nursing care to patients in accordance with the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and PNHS policy. Provides safe and effective nursing care by promoting a safe, therapeutic environment and by advocating for the best interests of individual patients. Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights.
Work Schedule:
1.0 Fulltime. Monday - Friday Clinic.
Required Qualifications:
We are open to filling this position with an LPN, MA, or EMT. Requirements for each are outlined below:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing. Must maintain a current state license of practical nursing. Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.
Medical Assistant (MA): Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by “The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current MN EMT License. Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.
