About Your Opportunity

Reporting to our Supervisor Cyber Security Operations, you will provide specialised technical expertise to build, deliver and maintain the Cyber Security function. You will play a key role in establishing and delivering Seqwater’s cyber security capabilities across IT and OT (e.g., end-point security, cloud security, network security etc.) and will be responsible for driving cyber security uplift across the wider business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage the entire incident response lifecycle in collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring effective and efficient handling of security incidents.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage existing cyber tools, technologies, and systems (e.g., cloud security technologies, SIEM, endpoint security, etc.) and streamline existing supporting practices and develop Standard Operating Procedure documents while ensuring the ongoing maintenance of the Security Incident Response Plans.
  • Lead the development of cyber-specific policies and provide specialised advice.
  • Lead the technical implementation, configuration, and deployment of cyber projects and ongoing business initiatives within the overarching cybersecurity program.
  • Provide expert advice, implement actions, and manage Seqwater's threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and cyber incident response, while driving risk remediation through research and investigations.
  • Conduct regular assessments of the effectiveness of security services, offer recommendations based on a continuous improvement model and drive implementation.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related cyber security industry certification., or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in any of the following areas: Security Analyst, Security Systems Integrator, or similar position.
  • Experience using common cyber security IT & OT cyber security frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Essential 8, 27001, NIST, IEC:62443, etc.).
  • Experience integrating security solutions into cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS) and on-premises environments.
  • Experience in the following technologies: SIEM, EDR, IAM, Azure security services, Microsoft Defender suit.
  • Experience in advanced threat hunting and cyber incident response activities with the ability to detect cyber security threats and drive remediation activities.
  • Experience in leading vulnerability management activities end-to-end with key business stakeholders.

This position has a salary starting at $108,587.22 - $118,141.34 plus 12.75% superannuation and is a flexible hybrid role.
