We are seeking a talented and visionary AI Engineer to lead our organization’s artificial intelligence initiatives. In this role, you will identify and develop opportunities for the use of AI, ML, and LLMs to solve real-world business and operational problems, shape our technology landscape, drive innovation, and ensure successful implementation of AI solutions that will help IDC and its clients. Responsibilities:

Under the supervision and guidance of the VP of Enterprise Architecture, AI Engineer will:

  • Implement AI solutions capable of handling large-scale data, real-time processing addressing high availability, performance, and scalability.
  • Assess AI platforms, libraries, and frameworks for suitability for business use cases.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in generative AI techniques, including familiarity with LLM models.
  • Lead PoC efforts to showcase AI feasibility and value. Translate PoC results into production-ready pilots.
  • Keep up to date with emerging AI trends, tools, and frameworks.
  • Implement prompt engineering to improve the speed, relevancy, and accuracy of the AI solutions.
  • Ensure AI solutions adhere to security and privacy standards. Address data privacy risks, model vulnerabilities, and ethical considerations.
  • Create detailed architecture documentation, including diagrams, flowcharts, and technical specifications.
  • Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, DevOps engineers, UI/UX design engineers and product managers to understand needs and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Embrace diverse project scopes and adapt your approach to excel in dynamic environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in building customer-facing products and solutions.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in architecting, designing, developing, and deploying AI solutions.
  • 1+ year of experience in AI development using LLMs, GPT models and Azure AI
  • 1+ year experience in prompt engineering considering user intent, context, and reasoning.
  • Proven experience in frameworks such as LangChain or Semantic Kernel and vector databases.
  • Knowledge of ChatGPT/Copilots, machine learning, neural networks, NLP, and computer vision
  • Familiarity with AIOps, MLOps, including CI/CD, model training or testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment with data engineers, data scientists, and designers.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and Java.
  • Familiarity with ethical considerations in AI.
  • Certifications, such as Azure AI Engineer Associate, are preferred.
  • Effective communication, presentation, collaboration and influencing skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
