Blackstone Growth, 2025 Investment Associate, Consumer/Healthcare/Consumer Tech, San Francisco

Start Date: Summer 2025

Job Description: 

Prospective candidates will have the opportunity to join a lean, but growing, entrepreneurial, and highly collaborative team focused on growth equity investing within one of the largest global alternative asset management firms. Candidates will have the opportunity to actively evaluate, manage, and source potential investment opportunities, interacting directly with senior deal team partners and company management teams, particularly within the Consumer/Healthcare/Consumer Tech sectors. Candidates will also have flexibility to work across various business units at Blackstone and evaluate opportunities that span various stages of the business lifecycle in the fastest-growing segments of the Consumer, Healthcare, & Consumer Tech markets. Candidates will also be heavily involved in influencing thematic focus areas for the team, through both independent and collaborative research, as well as have outsized impact on cultivating the team’s professional culture.

Responsibilities:

Investment Associates will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the investment process from sourcing and deal execution, to post-close portfolio company management. Responsibilities will include:

  • Financial analysis, valuation, and modeling
  • Execution of transactions (including meeting and interacting with management teams as part of the due diligence process)
  • Industry and thematic research and competitive analysis
  • Legal documentation and drafting of memoranda for internal and external use
  • Active management of new and existing portfolio companies alongside management

Candidates can expect to work on numerous projects at a time in various private and public investment opportunities. The small size of the professional staff and the extent of the deal flow require lean staffing and significant responsibility sharing.

Qualifications:

Blackstone Growth seeks to hire individuals with the following qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience as of Summer 2025
  • High level of competence with respect to analysis, due diligence, and financial modeling
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Desire to work in a team environment
  • Ability to think and work independently
  • Prior investment banking experience and knowledge of accounting and finance is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with or experience in financial or enterprise technology preferred, but not required

Expected annual base salary range:

$140,000 - $140,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
