Due to internal promotion, a Junior Sous Chef vacancy has become available at the newest Hilton property in Perth. Opened in December 2020, our waterfront property at Elizabeth Quay is the only hotel located on the Perth 72km Swan River. Duties:

• Assisting the Executive Chef in day-to-day operation of the kitchen
• Preparing menus as requested
• Producing food for guests efficiently, economically, and hygienically
• Maintaining a high standard of food preparation and presentation, according to recipes and standards
• Using all equipment, tools, and machines appropriately
• Assisting with inventory and HACCP management
• Working closely with the Stewarding department and all other kitchen staff
• Maintaining a professional and positive attitude towards colleagues, supervisors, and guests

Ideal Candidate:

• Commercial Cookery Cert IV or above
• Full Australian working rights and ample availability
• Minimum 2 year experience in similar role (hotel background preferable)
• Strong English communication
• Confident leadership abilities
• Knowledgeable in HACCP
• Reliable, flexible, and works well under pressure
• Skilled in time management and organization
• Ability to work in hot environments and stand on feet for long periods
• Australian Working Rights
• Current National Police Clearance (less than 6 months)
