Achieve procurement targets regarding Cost, Quality, Delivery and Service Performance of suppliers

Tasks:

  • Lead and develop the commodity team molded parts with 5 members in EMEA
  • Develop and implement supply base strategy for molding suppliers
  • Drive savings opportunities (identify, quantify, capture) throughout supply base
  • Support mold purchasing strategy in cooperation with the EMEA mold team and COE
  • Analysis of performance gaps and identify cost savings opportunities
  • Preparation and leadership of negotiations
  • Generate and negotiate technical saving projects in cooperation with the technical department
  • Negotiate region wide contracts and manage compliance, ensure adherence of team to all TE policies,
  • Identify and ramp-up competitive new suppliers as well as supplier consolidation
  • Actively manage sourcing pipeline (new projects, transfers) with the team
  • Cost structure analysis, control of quotes in relation to total cost of ownership
  • Ensure supplier early involvement in project before SOP
  • Closed cooperation with OPS for insourcing/outsourcing and MOB decisions
  • Closed cooperation with the commodity team assembly

Qualifications:

  • University degree, or equivalent
  • Experienced buyer with strong methodology/strategic knowledge as well as operational/tactical know-how
  • Knowledge of regional and global supplier base is for commodity group
  • Track record of successful negotiations in the context of the automotive industry
  • Experience with TE’s requirements is a plus
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Very strong analytical skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills in a multi-culturalother countries and cultures environment, willingness to travel and ability to understand and work with
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German 
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of MS Office applications, i.e. Excel
  • Outlook, Word, Powerpoint
  • Advanced SAP knowledge module MM
