The Senior Manager, Global Procurement – International Markets: Italy and Spain will be accountable for the delivery of Procurement activities within Italy and Spain as part of Regeneron’s international footprint.

This role will partner with collaborators and colleagues from each market to implement and optimise plans for supplier engagement and sourcing priorities to achieve local commercial, regulatory, and site objectives. While ensuring that unique market requirements for Italy and Spain (regulatory, language, legal, commercial, medical, cultural, etc.) are understood and appropriately addressed.

This role reports to the Senior Director, Global Procurement - International Markets and will work closely with other international country leads and category teams to enable international expansion and local market priorities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Enabling global priorities at a local level through partnership with Stakeholders and the Global Procurement organisation
  • Understanding of local in country market requirements with strong knowledge of ways of working in country, and supply base
  • Implementation of global category strategies within country to drive consistency in sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship management in local markets.
  • Working as an International markets Procurement team to create processes and drive consistency and development of standard process across organisation
  • Review local contracts for key areas of spend, and use data to monitor trends and patterns across spend at country level
  • Collaborate with country team members to proactively understand strategy and future requirements, as well as understanding country budgets and annual spend requirements
  • Accountable for driving value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities
  • Demonstrates knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support the growth and evolution of the Global Procurement organization and leverages this knowledge to drive improvements within Regeneron, aligned with corporate priorities
  • Uses data to drive decision-making for successful category projects
  • Coaches proficiency on procurement technical skills among global procurement team

Job Requirements:

  • The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study and dynamic experience in procurement, preferably including experience in Pharma/BioPharma.
  • Experience successfully leading/supporting global categories teams, processes, and suppliers across a breadth of categories
  • Provide expert insight and knowledge regarding rates, unit costs, and costing structures to enable optimal negotiations.
  • Uses external data sources, market information, and supplier engagement to constantly improve Regeneron’s kowledge of supply market dynamics.
  • Individual who is experienced operating with integrity, focus, and clarity in an environment of ambiguity to inspire change and improvement.
  • Demonstrated success leading/supporting the global supply market evaluation process using all available market intelligence, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools.
  • Experience leading associate level professionals in a multi-national firm including writing performance reviews, setting annual objectives, coaching, and developing direct reports is preferred
  • Working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERP’s, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, GEP, Ariba, Other)
