What you will do

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UL Global Technical Support Manager to join our team. As the Global Technical Support Manager, you will be responsible for managing the UL product support team and ensuring the resolution of product burning issues. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of fire detection industry standards.

How you will do

  • Manage the Global UL product support team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Utilize Salesforce to monitor and resolve product burning issues.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to address outstanding issues.
  • Coordinate with Quality teams to enhance partner experiences.
  • Oversee the team involved in NPI projects.
  • Liaise with Product Management and Engineering teams.
  • Prioritize workload for team members.
  • Set and monitor shift patterns.
  • Conduct annual team assessments.
  • Continually develop the existing team and allocate resources where necessary.
  • Approve travel arrangements for global team members.
  • Maintain effective communication with 3rd party suppliers.

What we look for

  • A complete understanding of Simplex and Autocall products, as well as experience with JCI systems SAP Salesforce, NICE.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or relevant experience in the fire detection industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in the fire detection industry.
  • Proven experience as a team leader/manager.
  • Excellent knowledge of fire detection and voice alarm design, installation, and commissioning standards, including NFPA 72.
  • Strong verbal and written command of the English and Arabic languages.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Awareness of current industry trends.
  • Familiarity with UL standards for fire detection products and relevant building codes and practices.
  • Excellent business communication skills, including reporting movements and meeting notes.
  • Ability to identify the need to contribute to managing processes for the development of others.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
