Position Overview

The TDI PB central IT Release Management plans and coordinates the standardized, controlled and transparent transition of

application and infrastructure components into production. Within this team the Release Management team is responsible for the central planning of application and multi-application releases (Master Release) within Technology, Data & Innovation Private Bank Germany and managing dependencies amongst them and other applications. Dependencies are being tracked and continually scrutinized, controlled and challenged across the release portfolio.

zRM takes responsibility for release bundling where appropriate. A CutOver Management team controls and orchestrates multi-application releases in the face of a comprehensive, holistic governance (structuring & gatekeeping) with the goal of having an undisturbed going live, supporting overall transparence concerning planning and scheduling of releases.

Task description

  • As Release Manager you coordinate and support stakeholders in all aspects of software releases
  • Regular communication with all involved stakeholders and provide relevant status information (including provider coordination) and conduction of recurring meetings
  • Creation, reviewing and publishing of release plans
  • Identification and pinpointing of dependencies, risks and issues within a release and escalation where appropriate
  • Providing a high degreee of transparency to all stakeholders
  • Networking with functions/divisions such as application owners, Production Support, domains, programs, projects, Test Management...
  • Active establishment and consolidation of a positive working relationship to the other team members
  • As CutOver Manager, you coordinate the preparation and planning phase across projects, bring the relevant parts together and develop an overall plan for the go-live in iterative cycles with the project and program managers. Your tasks also include the coordination and execution of dress rehearsals and cut-over weekends out of the IT control center.
  • Creation of a CutOver Plan (script) in cooperation with the project and program managers as well as those responsible for the application
  • Ensuring the risk-reduced feasibility of the CutOver weekend by means of suitable change management measures (ServiceNow)
  • Regular communication with all involved stakeholders and provide relevant status information (including provider coordination)
  • Identification / analysis of possible “risks” and "issues" (and/or incidents) that could affect the CutOver and appropriate escalation before and during the CutOver weekends.

Experiences & Skills

  • Educated to a Bachelor’s Degree Level with a concentration in computer science or IT-related discipline (or equivalent work experience or diploma)
  • Extensive project management experience, also in the execution of go-live scenarios in the context of large IT projects or extensive releases in large organizations
  • Strong in communicating & collaborating with all stakeholders (senior management, project manager, team members, business & IT)
  • Deep knowledge in Change-, Risk- and Incident Management (ITIL)
  • Business fluent German and English
