What you'll be doing

The Senior Accounts Payable Processor is responsible for processing payment runs, initiating wires, and the direct processing of complex vendor invoices and escalated employee expense reports. Daily tasks include data entry into ERP system, document filing, and heavy communication with AP processors, vendors, purchasing staff and internal users. As an Sr AP Processor, you will process month-end journal entries, process monthly account reconciliations, and help with AP Processor questions and training. Downloading and posting corporate card accounts and reconciliations, including pass-through billing for projects and working with AR as needed to ensure that transactions are posted by monthly deadlines to be included in monthly billing.

  • Process AP invoices using ERP System (PO and Non-PO) 
  • Resolve escalated invoice issues
  • PO research, working with the Procurement Team to resolve complex issues
  • Process escalated employee expense reports, including set up of new employees for payment
  • Vendor statement reconciliations
  • Pcard & Travel card reconciliations & processing
  • Handle vendor inquiries and disputes
  • Process weekly payment batch runs, including initiating manual wires and ACH payments as well as EFT payments from the ERP system
  • Create Journal Entries as needed
  • Monthly accruals for month-end
  • Monthly GL account reconciliations

What we look for

  • 5 years AP experience, using an automated ERP system, preferably Oracle EBS
  • Intermediate Excel Skills required, including VLookup, Pivot Tables and Formulas
  • Ability to create and maintain Excel sheets as needed
  • Understanding of purchasing, receiving and 2 and 3-Way match process
  • Ability to lead and support office staff as needed
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Qualified candidates will have strong oral and written communication skills, ability to consistently meet deadlines and maintain high level of productivity under pressure; excellent team player with ability to work effectively across organizational functions with people of various skill levels.
