We are looking for a Technical Coordinator who will work as an NSF integrated team member at the Whitbread head office, based in Dunstable. In this role you will be the technical systems expert responsible for ensuring all product and supplier data for Whitbread supply chain management is maintained on the NSF/Whitbread systems.

The role will also be accountable for leading the surveillance testing programme, managing product specifications, and reporting supplier, audit, complaint, and finance data to the Team and Whitbread.

Including, but not limited to:

  • Maintaining and managing Technical data, e.g., product specification, supplier data, GFSI data, other 3rd party certifications
  • Managing user accounts for the team, client, and suppliers 
  • Delivering systems support for the team, client, and suppliers, operating as the systems expert for all applications and system needs across the department
  • Providing issue support and resolution or escalation where appropriate
  • Be the key Whitbread contact for management of the laboratory service, managing surveillance testing schedule, coordinating the testing programme, results and budget
  • Key point of contact providing professional customer service and develop positive relationships with the client and suppliers
  • Managing required reporting process to ensure all data is collated, reviewed and available at required deadlines
  • Trend supplier, audit, and complaint data and prepare reports and presentations as required by the client
  • Provide office support to the team where required, e.g., manage office supplies, supporting with meetings, travel along with liaising with suppliers and Whitbread team
  • Support management of budget by tracking costs, invoicing and tracking all costs and expenses compared to budget. Providing accurate finance information to the client
  • Degree in Food Science, Biology, Nutrition, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
  • HACCP or Food Safety level 2 (desired but not essential)
  • Experience of working in a food related business is (desired but not essential)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of numeracy
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Skilled at communicating through various forms such as phone, e-mail, and team meetings. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively and follow through on assignments
  • Attention to detail
  • This is a hybrid role based from the Whitbread head office in Dunstable
  • UK Travel may be required on occasion
