Role Summary

The Universal Products & Experiences Global Franchise Strategy team drives the global vision and strategic development and execution of our franchise and marketing plans to cultivate brand growth and drive revenue.

The Director, Franchise Strategy Operations will be a master of their craft with experience leading global operational strategy and hands on execution to elevate business units and brands. This role partners closely with the SVP, Global Franchise Strategy to deliver annual plans and prioritization to the UP&E business. In addition, this role authors process to increase efficiency across the global strategy enterprise and is responsible for managing delivery of tools and communications to the organization. A strategic thinker and dynamic presenter, this role understands the needs of a global CP business and sits alongside the Global Franchise Strategy teams to drive business planning and next steps forward. This position reports to the VP, Global Brand Operations.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements operational strategies, tools and processes that guide the global franchise strategy enterprise and ensure exceptional partnership and communication across UP&E’s businesses
  • Shapes best-in-class culture by promoting collaboration and problem-solving to drive for results
  • Manages the 24-month franchise planning process, collaborating with senior leaders across the organization to drive process milestones and ensure alignment across the global business
  • Plans semi-annual business review meetings to further refine plans based on new information and the evolving needs of the business 
  • Facilitates roll out of plans to the global business, considering security of information, and driving global attendee list for all planning sessions 
  • Leads and manages franchise strategy operations team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional development
  • Sets clear goals and objectives for the team, monitors progress, and provides regular feedback and performance evaluations. Identifies areas for improvement and implements strategies to enhance team performance
  • Understands studio structure and manages executive approval process, including driving agenda and managing next steps for key executive meetings
  • Provides high-level oversight of the global Franchise Strategy & Creative COS budgets for coordinated approach. Oversees department T&E budget. Serves as lead communicator to finance team on all budget matters.
  • Develops and manages all department processes and tools and regularly reviews for increased efficiency and effectiveness
  • Manages monthly distribution of content slates and competitive slates to the executive leadership team for informed decision making
  • Partners with regional franchise strategy leads sharing latest information, slates and presentations in preparation for monthly key partner meetings globally
  • Partners with franchise strategy team to deliver sales materials, including presentations, sell sheets and reels, to the global organization timed to key trade shows three times annually. Activates Multimedia design team as required.
  • Manages annual master calendar, sales materials and insights calendars outlining cross-functional deliverables and providing early visibility to working teams
  • Brings together global and regional franchise teams for multiple Marketing Forum discussions annually
  • Develops and manages deployment of new tools and processes to operationalize franchise strategy working teams
  • Keeps security of assets top of mind and guides team on usage and distribution
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation, creativity, and efficiency within the team and the organization as a whole
  • Contributes to the advancement and actualization of UP&E’s diversity, equity, and inclusion commitments.
  • Additional duties as needed to meet business needs

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in operations or related field with 5+ years in leadership, including identifying and developing talent
  • Strong MAC skills including highly proficient in Keynote. Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, Word. Proficient in project management software; knowledge of Workfront preferred.
  • Knowledge of Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator preferred
  • Prior experience working with “C”-level executives
  • Experience driving work product of cross-functional teams
  • Experienced manager with demonstrated team leadership ability
  • Effective communication, including speaking, writing and active listening as well as a professional presentation
  • Ability to juggle long and short-term deadlines in a dynamic working environment
  • Stays current with understanding of business/organizational priorities and evolving industry trends
  • Experience in licensing preferred; understanding of product development cycles desired
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends and travel both domestically and internationally

Qualifications

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $120,000 - $160,000 (bonus eligible)
