Job Purpose and Impact

The Risk Manager Associate will apply general knowledge and understanding to support the team in preparing offerings to meet customer needs and risk profiles. 

In this role, you will partner with the risk management and sourcing teams across the regions where Animal Nutrition & Health is present and will also support our customer price risk solutions efforts in building and delivering strategies aligned but not limited to the positioning of raw materials in the assigned markets.

Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinate activities to comply with the specific requirements related to the type of solution and countries in the scope of the agreement or related to structures for new business or new product offerings.
  • Connect with key partners and support the communication to customers on risk positions, market bias, targets, coverage versus plan and strategy.
  • Partner with stakeholders to coordinate futures, options and risk management products to meet customer budgets, benchmarks or targets and connect risk management infrastructure, intellectual property and strategic advantage to assist the handling of price risk for customers.
  • Assist in monitoring commodity markets to review activity in targeted markets and partner with the commercial team to maximize profit returns and minimize risk and also maintain market positions within the established limits.
  • Elaborate market analysis and reports for internal and external use
  • Create managerial position, P&L and risk limit reports for internal and external use
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience
  • Travel up to 35% of the time
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written) 
  • Understanding of market risk 
  • Commercial experience
  • Intermediate excel experience 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience with SQL, Phyton, PoweBI, Tableu or similar. 
  • Advanced excel experience 
  • Procurement experience
