What to Expect

Global Business Development is a small but mighty team that works to analyze markets, shape emerging business models, and advise industrial energy business strategy. 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to spearhead our entry into new for utility- and C&I-scale energy storage. The ideal candidate will be adept at conducting market research, developing strategic plans, and executing market entry strategies. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless market penetration and drive business growth. 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead investigations into new markets for Megapack by conducting thorough market research and analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive landscapes
  • Assess market feasibility, including regulatory requirements, economic conditions, and technological readiness.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for market entry, including resourcing, target customers and segments, as well as Tesla pitch and value prop.
  • Own the end-to-end process of market entry, from initial assessment to market launch
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including legal, sales, logistics, product, and finance, to approve and execute market entry activities
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and preferences in target markets
  • Assist sales teams in constructing compelling offers tailored to specific market requirement and provide market insights and intelligence to support sales efforts and enhance competitiveness

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent
  • At least five years of experience in the energy storage or renewable energy industry, with a focus on business development or market expansion
  • Proven track record of successfully entering new markets and driving business growth
  • Excellent understanding of energy industry; deep knowledge of energy storage technology and value proposition
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities

Expected Compensation

$64,000 - $288,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
