Enabling sustainable and more equitable lives for all

SNV is a mission-driven global development partner driven by the vision of a better world: one where across every society, people live with dignity and have equitable opportunities to thrive sustainably. Rooted in the contexts and societies we work in and inspired by the transformational principles and objectives set out by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we are committed to building resilient agri-food systems that deliver food security and adequate nutrition; increasing the reliability and availability of water and sanitation at an acceptable quantity and quality; and improving access to affordable and sustainable energy for all.

We work to strengthen institutions and effective governance, reduce gender inequalities and barriers to social inclusion, and enable adaptation and mitigation to the climate and biodiversity crises. We recognise that today’s problems are not just technical puzzles, they represent complex systemic challenges. This requires that we strive for systems transformation that goes beyond surface solutions and fighting symptoms, and that we look beyond project boundaries.
