Job Title: Financial Planning and Analysis Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports To: CFO

Required: (Candidates must reside in the Kansas City metropolitan area)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Financial Planning & Analysis Director will manage our financial planning and reporting processes, and own the company's financial model for long-term, annual planning and quarterly forecasts. This is a highly visible role within the finance team and requires a strong leader and open communicator.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, implementation, and business strategic analysis of the financial team.
  • Conduct financial analysis, modeling forecasting and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations.
  • Review analysis results, develop insightful suggestions for investment, sourcing, cost reduction and leads strategic business decisions.
  • Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the finance team.
  • Develops budgets, policies, procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
  • Maintain financial reporting for the board and current and future investors in Smart Warehousing
  • Maintain cash flow projections to identify risks and opportunities for the company.
  • Maintain models for capital and debt raising processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by CFO.

“THE PERSON” | MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 4+ years of experience in working in finance and strategy in a corporate environment.
  • Experience leading and developing a high-performance team.
  • Strong knowledge of business and financial concepts
  • Quick learner; willing to dive in and get her/his hands dirty.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct analysis, and make strategic recommendations.
  • Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, including creating complex Excel models.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
