Engineering Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the Hardware Engineering Team based in Atlanta.  This is a multi discipline team developing and supporting complex mechatronic devices used in banking machines (ATMs) that are deployed worldwide.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager who will work with electronics, software and Mechanical Engineers to support our cash deposit and cash dispense devices. The role will specialise using the latest technology and data driven continuous improvement principles. The role will involve data analytics concerning the analysis of device telemetry indicating device/subsystem performance, degradation & fault management. The role will involve refactoring of Software and Hardware designs to resolve field found issues, design/implement/test customer change requests and design/implement/test performance improvements resulting from the data analysis.

The successful candidate will be a highly focussed, self-motivated individual able to demonstrate good analytical and problem solving skills, be able to work with low levels of supervision, understand the importance of attention to detail and have excellent written and spoken communications skills.  Some or all of the following skills and experience will be required:

Primary Responsibilities

•Overall responsibility for operational Delivery of a proven manufacturable solution to the agreed cost target. 
•Provide options and recommendation for appropriate approach for project to optimise execution within the organisation
•Development, ownership and execution of the Integrated Project Plan 
•Initial high level scoping and then subsequent detailed scoping, planning, budget development and scheduling in support of the project strategy. 
•Manage complex dependencies on prime and sub-projects, teams and individuals. Development of h/w / s/w matrix and interdependency plan to articulate project dependencies 
•Perform risk management to establish contingency planning though out the project life
•Collaborate and coordinate with internal functions such as operations, Services, DU&A, procurement and product managers to integrate quality, cost and market requirements. Articulate conflict of needs and drive consensus.
•Ensure product solutions being developed to meet market, functional, cost, lean production and services requirements.
•Project Control and Management of development deliverables associated with an approved project or projects through to Production ready and into Lifecycle
•Partner and negotiate with vendors and suppliers through the Supply Line Management function when required to ensure quality deliverables
•Develop and Manage technical aspects of signed contracts inc. Statement Of Works
•Keep management informed of key local issues and changes which may impact delivery schedules. Provide options, recommendation and if necessary re base line plans.
•Management of Cross Functional Project team
•Manage more than 1 project at any one time dependent upon complexity.

Qualifications

•Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent 
•Post Graduate Business Degree advantageous
Minimum of 10 years experience in engineering.
•Minimum of 5 years project management experience
•Proven track record of timely delivery of complex projects 
•Excellent understanding of product development processes & interdependencies, to support awareness of who to do it differently.
