First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking an experienced, customer-focused, detail-oriented Personal Banking Officer to join our Main Branch in Downtown Honolulu. In this role, you will proactively engage with clients and pursues business development leads and opportunities. Responsible for servicing and growing a small business and personal banking portfolio both in number of personal banking and small business clients and relationships, and the size of aggregate loans and deposits of the portfolio. Attend sales or personal banker training workshops as needed. Keep abreast of all bank products and services.

Compensation:

The annual salary range for this role is $58,000 - $70,000/yr; commensurate with experience, plus sales incentives.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday 7:30AM – 4:30PM; Saturday on a rotation basis 8:30AM - 1:30PM (hours may vary)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or related experience required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Financial Services, or Retail/Business Banking required,
  • Equivalent work experience with basic understanding of: accounting and finance, financial statements, and cash flow required.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience managing and growing personal banking portfolios (consumer and business) preferred.
  • Prior branch operations knowledge or experience preferred.
  • Completion of FHB Cash Flow, Consumer Lending and Small Business Banking courses within 6-12 months from hire or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License preferred.
  • FHB Basic MLO Certification within 6-12 months from hire or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • FHB Advanced MLO Certification within 12 months from hire or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • State of Hawaii Life & Health License preferred.
  • Must be qualified to be registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS).
