Summary

Develop, implement, and manage pricing strategies for current and future products across targeted customer/market segments. Work closely with sales leadership, accounting, and product management to determine pricing strategy for products to maximize sales and profit. Respond quickly to ad hoc domestic and international pricing requests for customer quotes and provide excellent sales support. Expand pricing strategy best practices to aftermarket parts and product specials. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop a global value-based pricing strategy. Identify opportunities to optimize sales and customer profitability through price strategies.
  • Define the buying characteristics and the ideal customer profile. 
  • Understand global market forces and consider Total Cost of Ownership in the pricing strategy. 
  • Manage pricing recommendations that will facilitate optimal pricing decisions by Marketing and Sales teams for North America and International. 
  • Lead Pricing Council meetings. 
  • Develop processes to manage pricing activities. 
  • Develop new tools to automate the price increase process, discount review process, pricing analysis and reporting. Manage list price, price increase and discount approval process. Develop Service, Sales and Operator Training pricing for North America. 
  • Collaborate with Aftermarket and Branch Operations on Pricing Best Practices. 
  • Perform duties such as creating/revising job descriptions, conducting Talent Development discussion sessions, rating performance, establishing/tracking goals and completing annual wage reviews. 
  • Responsible for coaching, motivating, mentoring, and developing direct reports to successfully take on additional responsibilities. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-7 years related experience
  • Bachelor degree (Accounting, Finance,)

Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master (MBA) degree. Experience forecasting and pricing in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Good negotiation, presentation, written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of lift truck products, customers, and market segments.
