Job Description:

  • Project Management:
  • Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project specifications.
  • Monitor project progress and quality, addressing any issues that may arise during construction.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect workmanship, safety compliance, and project progress.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Provide leadership and direction to on-site project teams, including foremen, subcontractors, and laborers.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment conducive to productivity and safety.
  • Train and mentor site personnel to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Resolve conflicts and address personnel issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Budget and Cost Management:
  • Monitor project budgets and expenses, identifying opportunities to optimize costs and improve profitability.
  • Review and approve project expenditures, change orders, and subcontractor invoices.
  • Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to forecast and track project costs accurately.
  • Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure construction meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and promote a culture of safety awareness on all job sites.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Communication and Reporting:
  • Maintain open and effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports on progress, issues, and milestones.
  • Collaborate with project managers to identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues proactively.

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
  • Extensive experience in commercial construction, with knowledge of various construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse project teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work in various locations as required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
