For R&D at Cook Medical we are looking for a Manager for Process Development to lead a team of employees developing the future production processes. The team works closely with the product development teams and sets direction for future manufacturing methods.

You will be part of a competent and experienced management team in R&D where we take pride in staying curious and open to new input. We welcome a new colleague who has ambitions and drive for process development as well as an interest in and talent for people management.

You will be responsible for developing competencies and processes to enable the optimal resourcing of our product development projects. Further you will be driving process development in close collaboration with manufacturing entity including Manufacturing Engineering and Operations. In general, you will utilize your finely developed stakeholder management skills to juggle the different interests and motivations in the value chain of developing new, best-in-class medical devices.

Responsibilities

As Manager for Process Development, you will lead a team of 6 highly competent employees who are passionate about processes in product development. The team consists of a diverse group of backgrounds and experience. Your finest task will be to set the framework and direction for your employees for them to succeed within the projects, and no matter if it takes diving into a risk analysis or coaching a mental barrier to help them on, you are the one to do it. 

The role is key in developing future production processes and thus interfaces with other parts of the organization, thus your stakeholder management skills and ability to establish sustainable relationships will be put to use in creating dialogues and continuous collaboration with both Operations, Post Market- and Manufacturing Engineering. Overall goal is to implement new products produced in most optimal processes on the market.

Qualifications

You probably have a technical background as an engineer or the like ideally combined with leadership experience. Supplement with further education in people management and leadership will be a plus.

To succeed in the position, it is essential, that you are available for technical, project and task-oriented discussions and guidance for your employees. This means, that you have a broad understanding of product- and process development, validation, and implementation of production processes. Competencies within LEAN/Six Sigma and Supplier Management is a further plus.

On a more personal level, we are looking for a new manager who has good communication skills, who knows how to reach out to both projects and across the organization, is persistent but also patient with processes of different paces.
