About this role:

In response to the change of pace in our markets and the appetite for expanding our commercial boundaries, we formed JET Fintech at the tail end of 2023. Joining the dots of business-critical areas in JET’s financial and payment services is a future-focused bet towards delivering value to all three sides of our marketplace from a single, unified Product and Technology home. 

The Enablement team is dedicated to serving a value chain of capabilities and the teams who own them across three primary touchpoints: Customer Payments, Partner Payouts, and our B2B offering, JET for Business.

As we expand into other areas of convenience delivery, our risk exposure - especially to commercial fraud - grows, and that’s where you come in! Achieving our Fintech mission relies on robust measures to minimise fraud and risks without jeopardising our customers' experience. 

Our current capabilities are distributed across business units and teams, slowing our ability to enhance, optimise and innovate effectively. As the Product Manager for Fintech Risk Reduction, you will be vital in helping craft a holistic view and strategic point of convergence for fraud expertise, strategy and tactical execution in our pillar. 

We're looking for someone with a passion for and a deep understanding of modern product management who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get things done! To succeed, you’ll need to be a motivated self-starter with business, financial technology, and fraud prevention expertise. 

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

• In alignment with the domain and organisational objectives, crafting your product’s vision for the next 6-12 months and galvanising teams across the business to ensure continuous value delivery.
• Collaborating with our payment and payout teams to identify pain points, needs & opportunities to optimise financial and operational flows.
• Collaborating closely with commercial fraud teams to create clarity on how financial and payment services should interact with and leverage existing mechanisms and policies while unlocking new opportunities and capabilities for risk mitigation and fraud prevention.
• Providing product leadership for fintech-related initiatives, focusing on enabling internal and external capabilities to combat fraud while balancing the need for accelerated growth of our delivery services.
• Implementing and improving product management principles and practices.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships across JET to improve collaboration and knowledge sharing.

What will you bring to the table?

• Significant experience combating e-commerce fraud and/or a successful history of product management at fast-growing or already-scaled commerce/fintech/banking companies is required.
• You're curious, practical, and focused on outcomes, with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership. 
• You have a deep understanding of payment fraud, associated metrics and technologies, and experience working with 3rd party fraud & risk management solutions.
• You have a fundamental understanding of financial processes and regulatory aspects (billing, reconciliation, payment systems, etc.); familiarity with the EU and UK AML policies and legislation is a plus.
• You’re a skilled communicator with a track record of influencing others to support your strategy or proposals. You can effectively communicate complex matters and requirements to non-domain experts clearly, simply, and concisely.
• You have sharp business judgement, you’re strong in logical and analytical thinking, and you can easily separate signals from noise.
• You respond well to change, think laterally, and see change as an opportunity, not an obstacle. You work hard while identifying where "good enough" is the best outcome.
