THE ROLE 

AMD seeks a communications professional with demonstrated experience in planning and executing corporate communications plans for fast-paced and growing global organizations within the technology sector. The person will help support strategic employee and corporate communication activities within EMEA through profile-raising activities including executive and employee communications, content development, and media relations 

The person must have experience working in the EMEA region. Specific knowledge and experience in the semiconductor market are particularly valuable. 

THE PERSON 

  • Dynamic, strategic, and creative corporate communication professional with a strong team player attitude who can work in a fast-paced and demanding working environment. 
  • Excellent English writing skills, painstaking attention to detail, and ability to create concise messaging and executable plans 
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Demonstrated background in creating engaging content and effective messaging for diverse internal and external audiences across a variety of formats 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence to work with senior regional stakeholders.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work closely with the EMEA corporate communications lead and global communication team to drive AMD’s internal and external communications programs. 
  • Take complicated issues and create deliverables to effectively communicate the corporate point of view to employees and external stakeholders. 
  • Develop and manage partnerships with AMD’s regional leaders to provide high-quality communication programs that achieve strategic internal culture and engagement objectives and external brand objectives 
  • Develop engaging content for a variety of communication vehicles including AMD intranet, employee events, internal social platforms, email, newsletter communications, etc. 
  • Support internal communications for the AMD Ireland site 
  • Coordinate PR agency partners on activities, including building and maintaining relationships with the business and tech press, drafting responses, pitching stories, writing and placing contributed content, and handling queries. 
  • Travel within and outside the region to support internal and external events 

WORK EXPERIENCE 

  • 3-5+ years of corporate communications or public relations experience, working for a global technology company. 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, business, or related discipline. 
  • Native/mother-tongue level of English is a must-have; proficiency in another European language would be a plus

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
