The opportunity

We are looking for an Assistant Manager who can support the Pursuit Strategist/Pursuit Leader on design, project management, content development, and research and analysis for the proposals. The Designer and Pursuit Specialist provides end-to-end support to onshore pursuit teams in terms of tender process management, graphic design and on best practice proposal content.

Your key responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and formulate creative themes, layout designs, and presentation approach
  • Develop and design innovative storyboards and layouts for client deliverables under all workstreams
  • Quick understanding of complex technical concepts and translation into creative design proposition
  • Lead and supervise a team of designers
  • Provide direction on photo shoots and imagery
  • In charge of putting the documents together ensuring consistency and quality
  • Full mastery of design software to constantly propose innovative and creative themes/layouts
  • Constant evaluation of new design technology solutions
  • Oversee project management and ensure use of best practice materials in tender process
  • Monitor the progress of all pursuit activities for adherence to deadlines and quality standards
  • Organize and coach for oral presentation (Rehearsal coaching, script writing)
  • Incorporate the orals plan into the project plan (logistics, attendees, rehearsals, leadership panels)
  • Assist with any material required for the value proposition session
  • Refine EY credentials (firm profile, sector research etc.) under direction from PS
  • Support the development and facilitation of any team building sessions
  • Review final pursuit collateral for quality, format, and content for adherence to the firm's brand standards

Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud applications and MS office (PowerPoint/Word/Excel)
  • Good business acumen
  • Good understanding of Business Development and Pursuit Management
  • Excellent mother-tongue standard English as the role requires direct communication with international team members and clients.
  • Organized, detail-oriented and highly deadline-driven
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal, written and listening)
  • Good critical thinking
  • Good project management, coordination, and negotiation skills
  • Highly developed computer skills, including Microsoft suite and Internet-based research
  • Prior experience in pursuits/pre-sales/bid management, project management
  • Experience with SharePoint is desirable
  • Able to build collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma (preferably in Graphic Design or related discipline)*
  • 4 - 8 years of Pursuit design/Communications/Pursuits experience
  • Organized, detail-oriented and highly deadline-driven 
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong sales and creativity acumen
  • Proven ability to influence and build collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong visual design and strategic thinking capability

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Skills in Mural, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and any other digital collaboration solutions are an asset
  • Experience in bid management
  • Experience in a large Global organization
  • Technologies and Tools
  • MS Office - PowerPoint/Word/Excel
  • Adobe Creative Cloud applications
